I made these as a gift. I may end up keeping the pumpkin dishcloth.

Modifications

• I used different yarn.

  • Teal & Red: 1 ball of Sugar ‘n Cream (had tiny bit left over)

  • Mint Marl: 1 ball of Sugar ‘n Cream twists (which has 95 yds. versus 120 yds.) + a little bit of the red Sugar ‘n Cream left overs

  • Pumpkin: Creme Cotton, Loops and thread (this has nylon in it, so it is not suitable to be used for hot dishes; it is also super soft and has very little twist - not sure how this will hold up, but it’s pretty)

• I went down several needle sizes — to a US 4 (3.5mm) — to get gauge.

Final Thoughts

I love the tin ceiling design. It shows up very well on camera and is more subtle in real life.

The small size is quite large. In the photos they look potholder size, but are actually over a foot long.

Also, if following the chart, remember to do the opposite stitch (knit or purl) on the WS row from what the symbol means on the RS row.
